Hi there, I’m Chris
Hello everyone! I'm Chris, the Public Safety Guru. Why do I call myself the guru? Well, it's because I have worked as a police officer, fire fighter, EMT, and paramedic for over 39 years. I have been teaching EMT in-class and online for ten years and have developed this podcast and resources to help you pass the NREMT test and/or your EMT program.
Bio
I started my career in public safety at the age of 13 when I became a police explorer. Not fond of police work, I switched to the emergency medical field and became a paramedic explorer. It was here I found my love for the EMS field. After high school, I attended both the fire academy and EMT school and upon graduation, I started working as an EMT for a local ambulance company and reserve fire fighter. Four years later, I applied for paramedic school at Daniel Freeman in Los Angeles and was accepted.

After graduating from paramedic school, I worked in my local community as a 911 paramedic for over six years until I joined the police department where I am at today. Despite this, I returned to the EMS field working as a paramedic for a local fire department for ten years more years.

For the past six years, I have been teaching EMT courses at two local colleges. It was here where I got the idea to start an EMT podcast and this service.
